This week, something special has been stirring on the land. Not just in the gardens or the pastures, but in the deeper vision we all share.
As many of you know, My Little Farm has always been about more than food. From day one, our mission has been to reclaim land, restore it with integrity, and offer people a real alternative way of life. One rooted in community, food sovereignty, and deep connection to the earth.
Now, we're preparing to take the next step: The Sovereign Village. A regenerative, member-owned village centred around food, farming, and freedom.
Vision in Motion
In recent weeks, we’ve had some deeply aligned conversations with Chay from Crops Not Shops. He's a brilliant voice in the community food movement and a long-time advocate for land-based living. He’s now exploring a move to East Sussex to join forces and help bring the first Sovereign Village to life.
Together, we’re beginning to assemble a “Dream Team” - a group of partners who each bring a critical piece of the puzzle:
- Architects & Natural Builders: to design homes that serve nature and people
- Legal & Financial Experts: to structure co-ownership and ensure resilience
- Educators & Health Practitioners: to foster learning, wellbeing, and care
- Artists & Craftspeople: to bring soul and creativity to the land
- Tech & Systems Thinkers: to support communication, sovereignty and flow
- Regenerative Planners: to map the land’s natural rhythms and guide development in harmony with it
We’re not rushing. Over the coming year, we’ll be designing and refining the blueprint, guided by nature, our partners, and by all of you.
But to build the village, we must first complete the farm.
The Power of Demonstration
Real change doesn’t happen through theory alone. It happens when people walk the land, taste the food, and feel something shift. That’s what we’re building together: a living demonstration of what’s possible.
To truly invite others in, create a blueprint for land based living and expand the model nationwide, we must complete this first farm in East Sussex - and for that, we need our community to grow.
