Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about co-ownership, farm access, investment opportunities, and how to get involved with My Little Farm.
What is My Little Farm?
My Little Farm is a member-owned farm organisation, designed to reconnect people with their food, the land, and each other. By co-owning farms together, we’re reclaiming farmland for future generations and building a sovereign food system rooted in community, ethics, and abundance.
-
What makes it different from a veg box or CSA?
When you join My Little Farm, you're not just buying food, you're becoming part of a farm. Members co-own the land, fund regenerative farming enterprises, and shape what is grown. It’s a powerful step beyond being a consumer: you are part of the farm’s story and future.
-
Where is the first farm located?
Our flagship site is located in East Sussex. When complete it will span 100 hectares (250 acres) of regenerative farmland with infrastructure being built to support a thriving community hub, market garden, livestock, events, and farm shop.
-
Do I have to live near the farm to join?
No, members come from all over the country. We are designing the experience so that both local and remote members can benefit fully. Food is distributed nationally, and your membership gives you access to the wider network of farms as they grow.
-
What is the Sovereign Village?
It’s our long-term vision for a 1,000-acre community designed around land-based living, food sovereignty, shared values, and self-reliance. The first step is to build a thriving, community-owned farm, and from there, the Sovereign Village will evolve over the coming years. You can learn more here.

How are membership funds used?
Membership contributions, whether through Early Access or Founding Membership, play a crucial role in building and growing the My Little Farm movement. Together, these two membership types form the foundation of our mission: community-powered food sovereignty.
Early Access Membership (£100/year)
Your contribution helps grow the movement, funding community tools, events, content, and the online member portal. This is what allows us to host farm tours, send weekly updates, invite you to events, and keep the farm shop running smoothly for members across the country.
Founding Membership (One-time investment)
Your investment goes directly toward acquiring land and building farms. Every pound supports our mission to create community-owned farms, from purchasing farmland to establishing regenerative food systems and hospitality spaces.
-
Can I upgrade my membership?
Yes. Early Access Members are first in line to become Founding Members. We regularly release Founding Membership spaces in limited batches, and Early Access Members are notified first.
We’re also soon offering an instalment plan for Early Access Members to pay over 24 months toward Founding Membership.
-
Can I become a member if I live far away?
Absolutely. Most of our members don’t live near the farm. As a member, you’ll:
- Access our online farm shop and receive national deliveries
- Get weekly updates and virtual event invites
- Be first to know about campouts, workshops, and farm stays
- Secure long-term food access and sovereignty
- Play a role in building the first of many Sovereign Villages
-
What are the long-term benefits of membership?
Membership isn’t just about access, it’s about ownership. Our goal is to acquire thousands of acres, build 100 community owned farms, and secure real food for 100,000 families in the UK.
When you become a member, especially a Founding Member, you become part of that legacy. You’re not just buying produce; you’re reclaiming control of the food system with us.
-
Are there benefits I can enjoy if I live far away?
Absolutely! Even if you live far away, you’ll benefit from exclusive access to our members-only online farm shop, which offers a wide range of seasonal produce and products such as sauerkraut, kefir, and more. You can stay connected with the farm community through virtual events, updates, and discussions. Plus, as a member, you'll get priority booking for on-farm events and tours, so you can plan ahead for visits when you're ready.
Most importantly, we are here to provide you with food sovereignty. As a member, you'll have a direct connection to a trusted, regenerative food source, ensuring you'll have access to nutrient-dense, ethically produced food even if there are disruptions with mainstream suppliers. Our mission is to help reclaim control over food systems, so whether you're on the farm or not, we're here for you.
What is Founding Membership at My Little Farm?
Founding Membership is a one-time investment that gives you the opportunity to become a co-owner in the My Little Farm movement. It offers a blend of land ownership, lifestyle benefits, and long-term reward potential, without the burdens of daily farm management.
As a Founding Member, you’ll co-own shares in both the land and the operating farm business, enjoy access to the farm’s seasonal hospitality, and be first in line for future home opportunities within our Sovereign Village.
-
Do I receive a private plot of land?
No, Founding Members do not receive private plots. Instead, you own a share in the entire farmland and its associated assets. Our farms are designed to operate as regenerative, integrated ecosystems, and land ownership is held collectively to support community sufficiency and long-term land security.
-
How does Founding Membership differ from regular membership?
While Early Access Membership offers shop discounts and event invites, Founding Membership is co-ownership.
That means:
- You’re a shareholder in both the Land Company (which owns the farm) and the Operations Company (which runs it).
- You gain exclusive lifestyle privileges, such as seasonal stays and use of hospitality spaces.
- You are eligible for financial rewards, distributed annually based on farm performance.
- You have long-term rights, including the ability to pass on your membership or resell it (after a holding period).
- You help govern the project, with influence on major strategic decisions through regular communications and meetings.
-
Do I need to work or live on the farm?
No. There are no obligations to work or live on-site, though many members enjoy attending events, volunteering, or even staying for extended periods.
-
How long does the membership last?
Founding Membership is lifetime ownership. Once you join, you remain a co-owner for as long as My Little Farm exists.
After a minimum holding period, you may resell your membership if you wish, or pass it on to your children or heirs.
-
Are membership spaces limited?
Yes. Founding Membership spaces are strictly limited, in alignment with land size and operational capacity. Once sold out, no more spaces will be created for that region.
-
Can I pass my membership on to my children?
Yes. Founding Membership includes succession rights, meaning your investment can be passed down to your children or nominated heirs, preserving your family's stake in the land and farm network for generations.
-
Can I influence decisions about the farm?
Yes. As a Founding Member, you’ll be invited to participate in key decisions via:
- Annual member meetings
- Community updates and voting opportunities
- Input into farm direction, new developments, and governance models
Final decisions are made by the My Little Farm leadership team, but our aim is to build with you, not just for you.
What is the long-term vision for My Little Farm?
We are building a national network of community-owned farms and sovereign villages, reclaiming farmland from industrial control and returning it to the stewardship of real people. Our vision is to establish a network of 100 farms, each co-owned by its members, with the goal of securing nutrient-dense food, ecological abundance, and freedom for 100,000 families.
At the heart of this is our Sovereign Village model; self-reliant, regenerative communities built around working farms, offering not just food but a way of life rooted in cooperation, natural living, and long-term resilience.
-
Does this mean my membership will grow over time?
Yes. As new farms are established, your co-ownership entitles you to access produce, events, and benefits across the entire My Little Farm network, not just a single location. The more land we secure and farms we build, the more value your membership will provide over time.
Founding Members also receive priority access to future opportunities, including housing and land-based income streams within our Sovereign Villages.
-
How is the farmland protected for future generations?
All farmland is held in a protected trust structure, with an asset lock in place. This means:
- The land can never be sold off privately
- It is permanently dedicated to regenerative farming and community benefit
- No external investor or government body can take control
Founding Members are not just members, they are custodians of the land, ensuring it remains available for future generations to produce food, build community, and live with dignity and independence.
How do I access food from My Little Farm?
Members can access food in two primary ways:
- In-person at the farm: Join us on any Saturday, where you can shop for seasonal produce, dairy, meat, ferments, and more - fresh from the land and lovingly produced by our team.
- National home delivery: Order through our online farm shop and receive our regenerative farm produce delivered directly to your door anywhere in the UK.
Whether you live nearby or far away, we’re committed to ensuring you have reliable access to the highest-quality, nutrient-dense food.
-
Can I receive farm produce if I live far away?
Yes! Our national delivery service ensures all members, no matter where they live, can enjoy the abundance of My Little Farm. We ship our produce in wool-insulated, chilled boxes to preserve freshness and quality.
-
Do deliveries include fresh produce and eggs?
Absolutely. Our weekly deliveries include:
- Fresh vegetables and fruits
- Pasture-raised eggs
- Raw dairy products
- Fermented goods like kefir and sauerkraut
- Pastured meats and other seasonal specialties
We aim to make as much of our produce as possible available for delivery, and we’re continually expanding what's included as the farm develops.
-
How much does the food cost?
We price our food competitively with other organic box schemes (such as Riverford or Abel & Cole), but with a commitment to higher regenerative standards and greater transparency. Your food is:
- Beyond Organic: grown regeneratively and with no synthetic chemicals or pharmaceuticals
- Direct from the farm: no middlemen, no supermarkets
- Member-owned: profits go back to the community, not corporations
-
How much does delivery cost?
- Delivery is £5.99 flat rate across mainland UK.
- FREE delivery on all orders over £75.
- All produce is shipped in cardboard boxes with wool insulation and cool packs to ensure it arrives farm-fresh.
How does My Little Farm support food security for its members?
Food security is at the heart of everything we do. By co-owning farmland and managing our membership carefully, we ensure our members have priority access to nutrient-dense, ethically grown food—no matter what’s happening in the outside world.
-
What makes My Little Farm’s food system secure?
We own our farmland outright, which means we are not dependent on banks, supermarkets, or government schemes to produce food for our members. We limit the number of co-owning memberships in direct proportion to the amount of farmland we acquire, ensuring that every member’s food access is protected and never diluted.
This foundational approach allows us to scale food production sustainably and focus solely on the needs of our members.
-
What happens beyond My Little Farm’s own land?
To add another layer of resilience, we partner with like-minded regenerative farms across the country. These farms uphold the same ethical and environmental values and are partially funded through our membership structure. This enables us to diversify production across multiple locations, reducing risk and increasing food supply even if one farm is affected by weather, disease, or other disruption.
-
Do members get priority access to food?
Yes. All members receive priority access to farm produce. This means your needs are served first, before any excess food is made available externally. Your membership ensures that the food grown is for you, not for export, not for supermarkets, and not for profit-driven middlemen.
Can you guarantee uninterrupted food availability?
We aim to provide a consistent supply of fresh, regenerative produce every week. However, as a natural farm, we are still vulnerable to occasional challenges such as:
- Seasonal variation
- Adverse weather
- Pest pressure
- National distribution delays
While we cannot guarantee continuous availability, your priority status as a member means you’ll always be at the front of the queue during times of scarcity. This is one of the most powerful reasons to join My Little Farm.
-
What happens if there’s a food supply disruption?
If disruptions do occur, we’ll:
- Notify you promptly
- Offer alternative items where possible
- Use our partner farm network to fill in supply gap
By limiting membership and diversifying our production, we’re able to adapt more quickly than industrial food systems, and we always keep your needs at the centre of our decisions.
-
Will I be compensated for food shortages?
No, we don’t offer compensation for temporary food shortages. Membership is not a subscription to guaranteed food delivery, it's a stake in a living, seasonal food system. Our commitment is to continually grow, preserve, and distribute as much food as responsibly possible, and your support helps us build that resilience together.
How can I visit the farm?
We’d love to welcome you! Our farm is now open to the public every Saturday, with our on-site farm shop open from 10am to 4pm. You're welcome to pop in, browse seasonal produce, meet some of the team, and get a feel for life on the farm.
-
Can I join a guided farm tour?
Yes, we host monthly farm tours that are open to the public. These offer a deeper insight into our farming practices, the co-ownership model, and our Sovereign Village vision. You can book a tour here.
-
