Sovereign Village concept — regenerative living in harmony with land

A BLUEPRINT FOR OUR ANCIENT FUTURE

Sovereign Village

A new kind of village for those who long for something more. Where food, land, and life are reconnected, and families live with purpose, resilience, and deep-rooted belonging.

We call it the ancient future - a return to something sacred, reimagined for today.

This isn't a dream. It's a blueprint.

You don’t need to be a farmer, and you don't need to move house immediately to be a part of it. You just need to say yes to the kind of life that honours the land, nourishes the soul, and restores what’s been lost.

FAQs

The first steps are already underway. Now we’re inviting those who believe this future is not only possible — but essential.

Not at all. This is about reconnection — not relocation. Many of our members live elsewhere and still feel deeply connected. Some will one day live on the land, others will simply visit, contribute, and receive produce. Both are part of the vision.

Absolutely. The future we’re building needs farmers, yes — but also educators, artists, families, healers, designers, and dreamers. If you feel called to this way of life, you have a role to play.

No experience is needed — only alignment. We’ll provide ways for you to learn, connect, and get involved, no matter your background. Everyone begins somewhere.

We begin by identifying land that meets our regenerative criteria and is suitable for smallholding life — close to water, good soil, sunlight, and local community potential. From there, we build the farm first, and the village follows. Members help us guide future site selection.

Our first flagship location is in East Sussex, near Lewes. But the vision is national — eventually even international. As we grow, new Sovereign Villages will be established in other regions. Each will be locally rooted, but all will be connected.

Yes — as part of your membership, you’ll receive exclusive invites to farm days, seasonal gatherings, and hands-on workshops. These visits are your chance to walk the land, meet the farmers, and connect with the vision as it unfolds.

Yes. You can become a Founding Member of our inaugural farm in East Sussex and secure immediate food sovereignty for you and your family.

The land is held in trust and co-owned by members. When you become a Founding Member, you receive a defined ownership stake in the land and operations. This is not just symbolic — it’s legal, tangible, and transferable.

It’s an investment in life opportunity. Founding Membership gives you a co-ownership stake, long-term value, and annual rewards — but this isn’t about flipping land or quick returns. It’s about reclaiming the future and anchoring your family in something lasting.

Yes — your energy, skills, and knowledge are just as valuable as capital. We welcome contributions of time, expertise, and specialist support that help bring the Sovereign Village vision to life.

From regenerative farming and building trades to education, design, healing arts, or community organising — we consider non-financial contributions on a case-by-case basis. If you feel called to be part of this but have something other than money to offer, reach out.

Yes. Beautifully designed homes are a part of the long-term vision — for those who wish to live on the land they’ve helped bring to life. These will be limited, thoughtfully developed, and offered first to aligned Founding Members.

Every Sovereign Village begins with land — a working community-owned farm that lays the foundation for food security and belonging. From there, homes will be built only for members who helped bring the village to life.

We offer priority housing access in this order:

  1. Good Life and Smallholder Founding Members — who co-own both the land and its farming operations
  2. Co-owning Founding Members — who helped secure the farmland
  3. All other aligned members — as availability allows

This ensures those most committed to the vision have the first opportunity to live on the land they’ve helped steward.

Housing options are still being shaped as part of the Sovereign Village blueprint. Our intention is to offer both ownership and long-term stewardship options, always with community resilience, affordability, and fairness in mind. Founding Members will help guide this process.

The land is held in trust, safeguarded from private sale or speculative development. It exists to nourish the soil, the community, and future generations — not to be traded or extracted from.

Governance will evolve alongside the community. We’re not starting with rules — we’re starting with real people doing real things, shoulder to shoulder.

As the blueprint becomes tangible and the village begins to form, we’ll co-create governance structures rooted in stewardship, trust, and community wisdom.

This will include member assemblies, advisory circles, and other models of leadership — developed with transparency, care, and the input of those who live and contribute.

We're not here to theorise. We're here to build — and from that foundation, governance will grow.

People who are ready for something different. Many of our members are families, professionals, retirees and creatives seeking meaningful connection to land, food, and community — not necessarily off-grid or full-time farmers, but people who value regeneration, beauty, and shared purpose.

Your membership is transferable after a minimum holding period. You can pass it on to family, or resell it when conditions allow. This ensures your commitment is valued — and your legacy can be passed forward.

We are inclusive but rooted. My Little Farm welcomes people from all walks of life. Our focus is practical action, not ideology. We’re here to grow food, steward land, and build villages where life is meaningful and resilient. What unites us is a reverence for nature and a belief in human-scale solutions.

No. My Little Farm is a member-owned initiative grounded in practical regeneration and food security. You retain autonomy. You own your share. And you choose how involved to be. We're building real places for real people — not ideologies.

That’s okay. The best place to start is the Early Access Membership. It allows you to connect, learn, and explore without a large upfront commitment. When you're ready to go deeper, you’ll be first in line.
