In the summer of 2020, during long lockdown walks and deep, unsettling conversations, we began asking the question that changed our lives:
What does it really mean to take responsibility for how we live and feed ourselves?
Later that year, we bought 15 acres in the South Downs with no farming experience and no grand plan. Just a yearning to take back control of how we live and eat.
We grew our first crops, learned from the land, and discovered what it meant to live at the pace of nature. But we also hit a wall: the reality of smallholding life is relentless, expensive, and isolating.
So we asked a new question:
What if we could share the responsibility, the harvest, and the joy?
That’s how My Little Farm was born in 2023.
From Dream to Demonstration
Since then, with zero outside investment and the support of our early Founding Members, we’ve turned that question into a living, breathing farm.
Together, we’ve, restored depleted soil, planted forest gardens, built infrastructure from scratch, and begun feeding families across the UK.
Every pound has been reinvested into the farm and its farmers. Each step has deepened our roots. Now, we're ready for the next chapter, and we need your help to bring it to life.
On Saturday 21st June, we’re publicly launching our Founding Membership campaign to complete our flagship farm and secure the neighbouring 100 acres.
This is the final push — a 3-month journey to raise the £2.19 million needed by the Autumn Equinox (22nd September).
So far, 242 Founding Members have joined, contributing £797,400.
This next phase will allow us to secure additional farmland, nourish hundreds more families, grow our national farm network and lay the foundation for the first Sovereign Village — a self-sustaining, community-owned food ecosystem.
