This week, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the challenging conditions at the farm. The car park is currently incredibly muddy, and we know this has made visiting for our Members Markets a bit tricky. We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
The mud is the result of a perfect storm—literally. The rain last year prevented the construction team from building a new barn near the forest garden, where our cows were meant to overwinter. As a result, the cows had to stay in the team barn, adding to the wear and tear on the car park. While we have a plan and a team ready to clear and resurface the area, the current conditions make any efforts futile, as the mud returns almost immediately. Rest assured, as soon as the weather allows, we’ll restore the car park to its proper state.
Despite these challenges, our Members Markets continue to be a highlight each week. We’re so grateful for your support and understanding as we navigate these temporary difficulties.
The Vision for My Little Farm Village
Amidst the muddy boots and rainy days, we’re also looking ahead to an incredibly exciting development for My Little Farm. Our land acquisition plans are picking up pace, and we now have four transformative opportunities in front of us. These combined properties represent the foundation of our first My Little Farm Village—a vision that has been years in the making.
Picture this: a 500-acre smallholding village. It will be a place where families not only have access to ethically raised, nutrient-rich food but also live on the land that provides it.
Imagine children growing up in harmony with nature, playing in fields and woodlands, learning the rhythms of the seasons, and connecting with the food on their plates—not through a screen but through real, tactile experience. This village will be a hub for sustainable living, immersive farming experiences, education, and community connection. It’s the future we’ve been working toward, and it’s within reach.
To move forward with this vision, we need to raise an initial £3 million. The good news is that we already have several investors backing the vision, and we’re well on our way. However, we’re reaching out to you, our community, to help bridge the gap. This is a pivotal moment—not just for My Little Farm but for the future of community living and our food sovereignty.
A Leap Forward
Over the years, we’ve built a strong foundation—a clear strategy, an experienced team, and a growing demand for ethically sourced, nutrient-rich food. These elements uniquely position My Little Farm for significant success. This is more than a farm; it’s a movement. It’s a chance to reshape the way we live, eat, and connect. With your help, we can turn this vision into reality.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’re not just facing the challenges of today but building a brighter, more abundant future for generations to come.
