Our forest garden is one of the most abundant and resilient areas of My Little Farm, designed to mimic natural woodland ecosystems while providing a steady harvest of fruits, nuts, berries, herbs, and foraged wild edibles throughout the year. Unlike conventional orchards or monoculture farms, our forest garden is a self-sustaining, biodiverse system that actively improves soil health, increases carbon capture, and enhances wildlife habitats—all while producing nutrient-rich food for our members. 🌱 How We Grow At My Little Farm, our forest garden follows regenerative agroforestry principles, meaning it is designed to work in harmony with nature rather than against it. Multi-Layered Planting – We grow in seven layers, from towering fruit trees to ground-cover herbs and fungi, creating a diverse, highly productive system. No Synthetic Inputs – The trees, shrubs, and perennials are fed naturally through compost, deep-rooted plants, and nitrogen-fixing species rather than artificial fertilisers. Wildlife Integration – The forest garden encourages pollinators, beneficial insects, and birds, all of which contribute to a thriving ecosystem. Perennial Abundance – Unlike annual crops that require replanting each year, our forest garden is built to become more productive over time, with fruit and nut trees yielding more with each season. We never use pesticides, herbicides, or industrial interventions. Instead, we let nature balance itself, using natural pest control methods such as companion planting, predatory insects, and fungal-rich compost to ensure a resilient, long-term food system.
