Garlic & Shallots – We’re tucking these into the soil for an early summer harvest. Garlic loves the cold, and the winter chill helps it form strong, flavourful bulbs. Broad Beans (Aquadulce Claudia) – These hardy beans are going in now so they can establish over winter and give us an early spring crop. Spring Onions & Early Carrots – A small succession is being sown under fleece to get a head start for next season. Perennial Herbs (Thyme, Sage, Rosemary) – Adding more to our herb garden for culinary and medicinal use.
