2025: A Year to Gather

2025: A Year to Gather

We’ve been mapping out the events for 2025, as it’s shaping up to be our most abundant year yet. We can’t wait to welcome you back to the farm later in the year, with regular events launching from May onwards.

The relentless rain over the past year has had a huge impact on the land, but we’re hopeful that by spring, it will have recovered enough to host more of you once again.

Weekly Events

From May, we’ll be welcoming you back—more often, in more ways.

Here’s what’s coming:

Farming Fridays

(10am-4pm)

Farm Friday is our weekly volunteer day, where members come together to actively contribute to the work on the farm. The day begins with a team briefing before heading out for a two-hour farming session, followed by a shared lunch. In the afternoon, we continue with another two-hour session. Tasks will include activities such as planting, sowing seeds, preparing veg beds, mulching. This is a day focused on productivity, open to adults and older teens who can fully participate in farm tasks.

Saturday Members Market

(10am-4pm)

Every Saturday, the farm shop will open for members, offering fresh, seasonal produce and a space to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. Members are welcome to explore the farm, reconnect with nature, and take time to appreciate the changing seasons. Complimentary hot drinks are available, and a selection of farm-made food can be purchased from the shop.

Sunday Morning Harvest

(8am-2pm)

This family focused Farm Day is a chance for all ages to immerse themselves in farm life. Guided by our team, families can take part in daily tasks such as harvesting their own vegetables, collecting their eggs from the coop, and assisting with milking the cows. Families can pick their own produce to then buy at the shop till. This is a hands-on experience designed to help children and adults alike deepen their connection to their food, the land, and the rhythms of nature. The farm shop is also open on Sunday.

Seasonal Celebrations

Summer Solstice Weekend

(20th - 22nd June)

The summer solstice marks the height of the sun’s power and the longest days of the year. Over the weekend, we gather to celebrate with a bonfire, St. John’s Wort oil making, and flower crown weaving. In the evening, we share a communal outdoor banquet, closing the night with a gratitude circle around the fire. It is a time to honour the abundance of summer and embrace the turning of the seasons.

---

Lammas Weekend

(1st - 3rd August)

Lammas, or Lughnasadh, is the festival of the first harvest, a time to celebrate the land’s generosity and the fruits of our labour. Over the weekend, we bake bread, gather around the bonfire for storytelling, and enjoy a farm-to-table banquet. There will also be a flower harvesting session, a seed-saving workshop, and the chance to make the traditional wheat or corn husk dolls as a symbol of the harvest.

---

Autumn Equinox Weekend

(19th - 21st September)

As the equinox brings balance between light and dark, we gather to mark the shift into autumn. The weekend includes a gratitude circle around the fire and a seasonal banquet featuring the farm’s late harvest.
