While the farm team has been busy harvesting summer abundance, my own focus this week has been on building the digital side of My Little Farm. I’ve been updating most pages on our website to make things clearer and easier to navigate for new visitors, while also developing the Members Portal to give you more direct access to the farm.
Alongside this, I’ve created a new Founding Members brochure, which we’ll be sending out to those interested in diving deeper into our vision. The brochure shares more insight into the plans for our East Sussex farm — and if you’d like to be among the first to see it, you can join the list here.
But while I’ve been buried in design and planning, there’s been plenty of life on the farm too. A couple of our Jerseys are due to calf any moment, and these will be our very first Galloway/Jersey crosses — something we’re really excited to see unfold. We’re also preparing to bring our meat packaging in-house, which means we’ll be able to present cuts in a way that reflects the true quality of the meat and, importantly, keep it free from plastic wherever possible.
And here’s one I know many of you will be excited about: we’re finalising plans for a new subscription box launching in September. This will bring together the very best of the whole farm in a single box - your veg, dairy, meat, and more - shaped by your feedback. We can’t wait to share more soon.
It’s a reminder that while some weeks feel heavy with spreadsheets and pixels, it’s all in service of the animals, the soil, and the food we’re raising together.
