Our First Sovereign Village Gathering

Last night we welcomed the first arrivals for our Sovereign Village weekend and the energy on the land was beautiful. This is our first gathering with Chay and the Crops Not Shops team. Working side-by-side these past days has confirmed how aligned we are: practical, people-first, and deeply committed to food sovereignty.

If you didn’t manage to secure tickets, members are welcome to join us for the day today or tomorrow. Your membership is your invitation to come add your voice, share a meal, and meet the community building this with you.

 

Saturday (drop-in welcome)

10:00–12:00 - Farm Tour (start at the Forest Garden)
The story so far, our timeline, and what we’re growing & building next.

12:00–14:00 - Shared Lunch
Hearty, seasonal food prepared by Crops Not Shops incredible chef.

14:00–17:00 - Farm Time
Hands-on tasks for all abilities; get your boots in the soil and help move the vision forward.

Evening — Music & Storytellers
Gather under the trees and the fire to wind down together.

 

Sunday (drop-in welcome)

10:00–12:00 - Vision & Systems Workshop

What to bring: Sturdy shoes/boots, layers, a water bottle, and a torch if you’re staying into the evening. Terrain is uneven — it’s a working farm — but our team and community will be on hand to help where we can.

 

Food: If you don't have a ticket for the event, we can't guarantee access to the event meals, but we should have food available in the farm shop either way.
